Air Adventure in Queenstown

Air Adventure in Queenstown

New Zealand is a place on the "side of the world" but this country is really one great dream for every traveler. The most my attention pays the city Queenstown where scenic flights offer an exceptional way to see the beautiful region. You have to visit this place and make balloon flight.

New Zealand may be most known for being the location where the Lord of the Rings movies were filmed, but this lush country has so much more to offer. This is the best known ski resort in New Zealand, located on the South Island. For every sightseer the most important to visit the place is full knowledge of culture through food, traditions and seeing all possible places. One of the more non-traditional ways of seeing a place is taking a hot air balloon ride over the site to see the panoramic view of the place. I'm sure the balloon is one of the things that everyone has to do.

Queenstown is known for its extreme adventure activities and stunning scenery, but it also pays to sit back and see the town from afar on a hot air balloon to see the town’s lakes and surrounding landscapes! This balloon flight over Queenstown offers an exciting experience that you will never forget.

  • What can you see?

We have views of Coronet Peak and The Remarkables ski areas, Mount Aspiring in the Southern Alps and Mount Tutoko in Fiordland National Park. We also see Lake Wakatipu and Kawarau rivers. Some locations used in "The Lord Of The Rings" can also be seen, for example, The Ford of Bruinen, The Pillars Of The Kings. Also visible is Mount Earnslaw, one of the great mountains seen in Isengard. Queenstown's four distinct seasons offer beautiful scenery all year round, so make this your opportunity to get some of the most stunning photographs you will ever take. You can watch the sun come up from a unique viewpoint and experience the feeling of floating above the land and lakes of the Wakatipu. I think that's a very amazing feeling.

  • Any disadvantages?

There are several disadvantages and it’s not really for everyone. First of all, it’s quite expensive, more so than seeing a place on land. Secondly, it usually entails meeting at the spot where the ride commences at early hour (second or third in the morning). Thirdly, you can not have a fear of heights. But most who have gone air balloon rides on their travels say it’s worth every penny, worth the lost sleep, and worth that fear of heights.

Street food

You have to eat these kinds of street food

Street food is not only food on the street but also it is the fastest place where you can learn something about the country or customs region. You can see what they are preparing. Availability is another reason, in some parts of the world street food is something common. Each country has its own dishes. If you like to travel, you have to visit this place and eat some local delicacies. I chose four my favorite street foods:

  • Lángos
Lángos is a Hungarian food speciality, a deep fried dough. It’s made from potatoes, flour and milk, in the basic version with garlic, cheese and cream. You can find this street food everywhere in this country. My favourite version is served with apricot jam.

  • Taco

Traditional Mexican dish composed of a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. A taco can be made with beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, and cheese, allowing for great versatility and variety. A taco is generally eaten without utensils and is often accompanied by garnishes such as salsa, chili pepper, avocado, guacamole.

  • Xiao Long Bao
Xiao long bao is a type of steamed bun from the Jiangnan region of China. The small buns are served hot in the bamboo baskets in which they were steamed, usually on a bed of dried leaves. The buns are usually dipped in Chinkiang vinegar. The fillings of  Xiao Long Bao are traditionally broth and meat. The broth wrapped as the filling is the essence of this food. When you bite a Xiao Long Bao, the broth inside will immediately flows out. The delicious taste will make you to eat more these street food.

  • Crêpe
And another sweet food. Crêpes can be found all over France. Crêpes are kind of very thin pancake and usually made from wheat flour. This street food always contains sugar, bananas, custards or Nutella. Your choice. I always eat them when I'm in Paris. This is my favourite street food.

No ordinary place to eat!

No ordinary place to eat!

The first underwater restaurant in the world? It sounds like nonsense but it's true. Welcome to the "pearl"in the Maledives. You necessarily have to eat there before your death.

The Ithaa Undersea Restaurant on Rangali Island sits five metres below the Indian Ocean. It's easy to get to the restaurant. The visit will be a special experience for people who have never dived before. Guests don't need to be swimmer or scuba diver, but they do have to wear formal clothes. Everything here is magical. Even the entrance. The first guests are led across a wooden jetty and then they simply descend to the restaurant down some spiral stairs.

I suppose the best in this restaurant are the amazing views.  The huge ceiling and walls are made of acrylic glass, so you can admire the underwater life. The restaurant  is surrounded by a coral reef. You can also see a lot of creatures. A few metres from your head there are turtles, sharks and thousand of tropical fish looking at you as you eat.
You can not forget about the delicious food. There they offer the six-courses or the four-course dinner set-menu. You can order maldivian lobster carpaccio, reef fish tartare, poached quail egg and mid-morning cocktails. And something for desert: white chocolate praline, salty caramel sable, sweet carrot sorbet. Yummy...

If you want to more excitement and would like to sleep underwater with the fish, you can do this for just 10,000$ at night. In 2010 it also became a hotel.

There is just one problem, it's not cheap(about 200$ for lunch) and there are only 14 seats, so it's not easy to get a reservation even you've got enough money.

If you are planning a visit to the Maldives, then definitely do this amazing place. You have to hurry, because the durability of a weighing 175 tons of construction is estimated at about 20 years.

Great Barrier Reef

You have to see the Great Barrier Reef

Australia is a place where we can admire the world on land but also underwater. The most my attention pays the Great Barrier Reef which intimidated with its color and diversity.

  • What is it?

This is the largest underwater structure of living organisms in the world. It is written on the World Heritage Sites and Culture and Wildlife of UNESCO. It is also considered one of the seven wonders of the world. It is located in the Coral Sea off the Australian coast of Queensland. It is created by millions of tiny coral polyps and not only and the reef is about 20 million years old. . It is larger than the Great Wall of China(stretches for over 2,300 kilometres so it's almost distance between Poland and Spain in a straight line)and the only living thing on earth visible from space.

  • Why do you have to see it before your death?

The reef is inhabited by many different species of animals and plants. It is their home and at the same time shelter from predators. Apart from sea snakes and fabulously colorful fish you might be lucky to see great sharks and dolphins. The bottom is decorated with colorful starfish, crustaceans and sea urchins. Sea grass in the reef is also a paradise for sea cows and turtles. It worth to see it on your own eyes.

The Great Coral Reef is a paradise for diving fans. You don't have to be a professional diver. In many places there are calm and shallow spots which are perfect for the first struggle with water and deep for people who already have experience. You can also watch the Great Barrier for example during the boat trip or helicopter tours. If you choose a helicopter you will admire the reef from the bird's eye view. In spite of the extraordinary views you can't touch anything, because there are also virulent animals.

The cost of the trip is estimated at 95 to 250 Australian dollars per person so I think this is a great idea for a wedding gift or for a 18th birthday.
